JOB DESCRIPTION:

A key, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant (front of house) while ensuring the deployment of quality systems and processes to maintain high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will oversee and manage night shifts alongside Operations Leaders, providing a central coordination and communication point for all activity (functions and restaurant).

*Morning shifts may be required from time to time.

30-40 hours per week.

7 day rotating roster.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will:

  • Lead and manage the front-of-house team, ensuring high performance and consistency in service delivery.
  • Train Restaurant Operations Leaders, Waitstaff, and support staff within the restaurant outlet.
  • Implement quality control standards and ensure adherence to operating procedures to maintain consistency in service and presentation.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through feedback, customer reviews, and service data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the sequence of service is effective and consistent.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement sustainable processes – to reduce waste and minimise rubbish. Recycle non-food items where possible.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and CEO to align restaurant operations with established strategic goals.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a similar industry desirable.
  • LCQ qualification and holder of a current Manager Certificate – Liquor.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Cost control experience.
  • Proven experience in implementing quality control processes and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with data analysis, process improvement, and customer feedback systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team.
  • A high level of energy and demonstrated flexibility in customer service.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised.
  • A passion for mixing and serving beverages and a sound wine and food knowledge.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of POS technology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work competently under pressure.
  • Reliable and flexible to change..
