Wine Sales Representative – Auckland
Carrington is a grand estate at the heart of Northland. The 3000-acre estate on the pristine and picturesque Karikari Peninsula is a world-class beach-side escape, a million miles from everyday life and a unique New Zealand resort.
Our Northland accommodation spreads over four breathtaking kilometers of secluded white sand coastline, with an ocean-side 18-hole championship golf course and 900 acres of restored wetlands. It makes a spectacular backdrop for any celebration, wedding, or event.
Our team is growing, and we need an experienced Sales Representative skilled at breaking into the Asian Market. As a premier Resort in the Far North the successful person should have an interest in golf and be passionate about wine to promote our golf course and synchronize our golf offering with our KariKari Estate Winery.
Karikari Estate is New Zealand’s northern most vineyard and winery.
• The vineyard has a planted area of 17.2 hectares of grapes and is situated 3km from the Pacific Ocean
• Karikari Vineyard is a member of the NZ sustainable Wine Growers Association.
• Carrington’s tournament quality, 18-hole golf course, designed by Matt Dye, is surrounded by sweeping vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the vineyards of Karikari Estate in the Far North
This is a 100-acre USGA specification golf course.
This role will be working for Carrington Estate representing our amazing premium wines from KariKari Estate Winery Based in Auckland.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish an Asian Market within Auckland Central customers. Your product knowledge of wines will be second-to-none and your strong relationship skills., these will also extend to our wholesale groups. Proven experience working in the Wine industry – Experience is a must in the wine industry and means you can hit the ground running. You know how to provide an outstanding level of service to build strong relationships and increase sales and growth.
This role will appeal to those who enjoy working consistently at good speed, building a strong profitable territory that reflects their efforts. You will be focusing on hitting distribution and sales targets.
We’re looking for a local, you’ll know Auckland City well. In this role, you’ll need to have excellent organization, communication and relationships, from Restauranteurs, Hospitality settings and Golf Clubs.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish a strong Auckland market with Wine and Golf sales.
- Work autonomously to manage your weekly call plan and growing accounts.
- Achieve sales and distribution targets.
- Identify and capitalize on local market opportunities to build sales and profitability.
- Merchandising and activating promotional plans with customers
You will have:
- Drive, motivation, and a passion for sales especially within the wine industry.
- You will need your own vehicle to undertake sales calls.
- Able to demonstrate proven sales experience and proven account management skills
- Outstanding customer service focus and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in Sales
- Chinese or Korean language proficiency is a must.
- A passion for the Wine and Golf Industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with potential clients.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze financial data to drive revenue growth and cost-effective operations.
- Proficient in, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant applications.
A base salary will be provided along with attractive incentives as a competitive remuneration structure.
