Looking to fill this role immediately.
This is a small 7ha vineyard based in Henderson, Auckland, which is part of the larger Babich business. We grow 6.5ha of Albariño, and 0.5ha of Chardonnay. This is a hands-on task-diverse role where you can further develop your skills with quality training and a focus on H&S, whilst working within a friendly and flexible environment.
This role requires strong practical ability and a willingness to assist with any task within the vineyard.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in vineyard or orchard work would be preferred, but not essential.
- Machinery operation experience is essential. We have 3 tractors and a 5T digger amongst other implements. You don’t need to be highly experienced, but must have some experience.
- An affinity for working outdoors across the seasons.
- Available for early starts and possible weekend work when required. Due to the demands of our seasonal operation, you will be flexible with working hours to get the job done. 95% of the time it’s standard hours but winter pruning, and peak growing season, may require the odd weekend shift.
- Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a team.
- Be a New Zealand resident or be legally entitled to work in New Zealand on a permanent basis, this role is not suitable for working holiday or sponsorship visas.
