Winery Maintenance Person (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for a Winery Maintenance Person to help our Winery and Bottling teams produce premium wine in Marlborough.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Winery and Bottling Line Maintenance

  • Participate in weekly Asset Meetings 
  • Daily Site checks
  • Update and maintain the Engineering Work Order Register 
  • Carry out or schedule preventative maintenance, servicing and calibration of winery and bottling line equipment
  • Repair and/or facilitate repair of any broken winery and bottling line equipment. 
  • Fabricate and/or organise fabrication of equipment for the winery and bottling line 
  • Carry out basic repairs and maintenance on the winery building and infrastructure
  • Ensure all required permits, are completed prior to work commencing by employees or contractors
  • Troubleshoot winery equipment and bottling line equipment
  • Assist on the bottling line to cover staff shortages and scheduled breaks as required
  • Assist in winery day to day operations during harvest and as required throughout the year
  • Work within the annual plan and budget.
  • Undertake all reasonable requests to take on additional duties to assist the Winery, Operations and wider team

Winery Team: 

Responsible for being a proactive and supportive member of the Winery team: 

  • Actively participate in the company’s health and safety systems
  • Be a proactive member of the HACCP Team
  • Assist with review of the Asset Management Plan, Hazard Control Plans and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Proactively share ideas and information that may assist other members of the Winery team or the wider Spy Valley Team
  • Respond quickly and thoroughly to any requests made
  • Assist the Head of Viticulture and Winemaking to develop the annual maintenance plan and budget
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and personal development plan

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • A high percentage of time will be spent on the production floor exposed to varying levels of equipment noise and temperature fluctuation based on the seasons
  • Must be physically fit and able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 15kg; and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20kg

We would love to hear from you if you have:

 A Full Driver’s licence

  • An awareness of Health and Safety 
  • Previous maintenance experience at a Winery, Bottling line or other production facility
