The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Vineyard Operator who loves working outdoors to join the team at our Marlborough Vineyard located in the Awatere Valley. This is a hands-on task-diverse role where you can further develop your skills with good training and a focus on H&S and quality while working within a friendly working environment.

Ongoing investment in a state-of-the-art winery, vineyard assets, and a world-class winemaking team, provide a platform for continued expansion via partnerships with world-renowned distributors and retailers. 

Key Tasks include

  • Machinery operations and maintenance such as vine and weed spraying, sweeping, canopy trimming, leaf plucking, mowing, mulching, cultivating
  • Canopy management, pruning, and vine training
  • Irrigation service and maintenance
  • Harvest operations and vintage activities
  • Ensure industry best practice is implemented and maintained
  • Continual focus on improving efficiencies, and upholding the team’s commitment to both quality and Health and Safety

Your Profile

  • Viticultural industry background
  • Takes pride in your work with a good eye for detail
  • Enthusiasm for working in a mechanical hands-on role
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and be part of a strong cohesive team.
  • A clean Class 1 valid driver’s licence
  • Based in Marlborough, or in a position to relocate, with unrestricted working rights within NZ
  • Growsafe certified
