As part of a 400-hectare coastal property, The Landing has 13 hectares of vineyard and more planting in the pipeline. The well-equipped on-site winery built in 2019 processes only estate-grown fruit.
First planted in 2007, The Landing is the largest producer in the Bay of Islands and is focused on super-premium expressions of the unique site on which we grow our grapes.
Chardonnay accounts for over half of production and Syrah is the most important red variety. The state-of-the-art winery allows for flexibility and attention to detail to coax the best out of every parcel of fruit.
Our goal is to produce outstanding grapes and wine, and we know achieving that takes extra effort sometimes. The successful applicant should be happy to work long hours at times over harvest and be open to doing extra shifts if weather or other factors dictate throughout the growing season.
The Landing is a multi-faceted operation that alongside the wine business includes honey and olive-oil production, hospitality, landscaping, property development, building maintenance, a native plant nursery, and boating. From time to time, all staff are required to help in other parts of the business.
