We are a family-run vineyard seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to join our small but passionate vineyard team. Situated 3km up the beautiful Awatere Valley Road with 130ha of predominantly Sauvignon Blanc vines, brand new staff and shed facilities, operating modern gear all year round; including a fleet of Fendt tractors, FMR 3-row sprayer, Ero Combi plucker, and Klima.
Progressive ownership looking to implement new ideas – a keen, open-minded individual would suit the position. The right candidate will be happy to pitch in where needed with both tractor and plant/maintenance work.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience in the operation of a range of vineyard machinery & implements
- Team player
- Can-do, hands-on attitude
- Attention to detail
- Growsafe & Approved Handler certificates – not necessary as training can be supplied
- H&S conscious
- Clean driver's license
- Able to work extended hours when required
Role includes:
- All tractor & machine work
- Replants & training of vines when required
- Post replacement
- Trellis maintenance
- Quad bike work
- General vineyard maintenance
- Competitive pay for the right person
