Here’s your chance to play a key role in nurturing our vines and contributing to our legacy of exceptional wine.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Vineyard Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our vine care operations, ensuring that each vine receives the meticulous attention it deserves. Your days will be filled with a variety of hands-on tasks that keep our vineyard thriving, including:
Canopy Care: From pruning to harvest, you’ll master essential vine care techniques such as green pruning, shoot thinning, bud-rubbing, wire-lifting, leaf-plucking, fruit thinning, and hand-picking.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience: A background in vineyard or orchard work is a plus, but your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important.
Outdoor Enthusiast: You thrive in outdoor settings and embrace the challenges of working across the seasons.
Organizational Skills: You’re a master of time management and can juggle tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Flexibility: Early starts and occasional weekend work are part of the job—your adaptability helps you shine.
Team Player: Whether flying solo or working with the team, your positive attitude and reliability make you an invaluable asset.
Eligibility: You must be a New Zealand resident or have permanent work rights in New Zealand (sponsorship visas are not available for this role).
Communication: Strong English skills help you communicate effectively and build strong working relationships.
Adaptability: You handle changing circumstances with ease and remain calm under pressure.
