Te Kano is a premium producer with vineyards in Central Otago and Waitaki Valley/North Otago.
We are looking to expand our team in Waitaki with the creation of an all-round vineyard and winery position.
This is a unique, challenging and exciting role based in Kurow. Acting as 2IC to the onsite Winemaker and with guidance and assistance from the Viticultural team, this position offers the opportunity to follow the annual cycle of the winemaking and grape growing calendar, deep diving into everything involved in growing premium grapes and making premium wines.
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience in and passion for the wine industry
Proficiency with chemical handling, tractors and associated equipment
Great organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
Team leadership ability, giving clear and courteous direction
A good level of physical fitness
A valid driver’s license.
This role offers the opportunity and ability to grow, learn and expand your knowledge, working within a supportive team and with fruit from some of the most diverse vineyards in Otago. You would be expected to assume considerable responsibility and be equipped with the tools you need to do so.
