The Role & Location

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Managers to join our team at Queenstown Airport. In this key role, you’ll lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring every guest has an unforgettable dining experience across our unique brands. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, maintain high service standards, and support staff development in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of our busy café venues, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Motivate and inspire your team, driving performance through leading by example.
  • Develop and deliver staff training sessions focused on exceptional guest engagement and product knowledge.
  • Manage stock, including purchasing, pricing, and inventory control.
  • Maintain financial and transactional records to ensure the venue runs efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies, including WHS and liquor license regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create mouth-watering menus that wow our guests.
  • Hire, train, and manage Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams.
  • Engage with guests, gathering feedback to continuously improve the dining experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills: you’ll be able to motivate, guide, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication: you can connect with people at all levels, from staff to guests.
  • A passion for customer service: your goal is always to exceed guest expectations.
  • Problem-solving ability: you’ll think on your feet and tackle challenges head-on.
  • Creativity: experience in menu planning and collaborating with chefs to deliver innovative offerings.
  • Strong organizational skills: managing inventory, costs, and staff schedules is second nature to you.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: in a fast-paced environment, no two days are the same.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards.
  • A hands-on approach: you’ll pitch in wherever needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
