About the role:
Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, as the Food and Beverage Manager you’re our social genius, with an unrivalled passion for all things food and drink. You thrive in multi-tasking and expertly control supply logistics and budgets, driving quality and efficiency, staying ahead of the curve and setting industry trends, exceeding guest expectations, and being a role model to your team.
Career Progression:
This is a great step up/career progression role for a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, or a strong Food and Beverage Supervisor, with operations and conference experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- A “hands-on “style overseeing the daily operations and performance of the hotel food and beverage venues
- Responsibility for monthly stocktakes and wastage reports
- Preparation of cost effective rosters.
- Analysing budget variances and considering seasonal/hotel activities to manage food costs
- Provide input into setting the financial forecasts and budgets for F&B and review expenses and revenue, and profit generation
About you:
- 2+ years leadership experience in a similar role in a hotel, restaurant, or venue.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, (written and verbal)
- Inspirational leadership that motivate, coaches and supports team development.
- A passion for delivering high level customer service.
- Hold a current LCQ and Managers Certificate
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in the use of POS systems and MS Office.
- Full Working Rights in New Zealand
