Job description

Our client is looking for a passionate and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead their team! If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, and loves creating great memories for guests, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain the teams focus on delivering the best customer experience – giving guests a unique experience that makes for great memories.
  • Lead and manage a team of 12-25 staff (depending on the season) across the bar, café & pool to ensure smooth operations and outstanding service.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar and café, including inventory management, cash handling and food safety compliance.
  • Develop and update food and drink menus, keeping offerings seasonal, fresh, and aligned with customer preferences.
  • Manage the poolside and hydro slide areas, ensuring staff are trained in safety and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, health and safety regulations & food control plans Monitor and manage POS systems, ensuring accurate transactions and efficient processing of sales.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock counts, and vendor relationships to optimise profitability and minimise waste.
  • Handling, rostering, processes, and systems, ensuring everything is running smoothly during their busiest times.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by leading by example, addressing guest complaints, and stepping in to handle escalated situations.

Experience We’re Looking For:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in hospitality management, ideally in a bar, café or resort setting.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management, recruitment and performance development.
  • A Bar Manager certification is ideal; however, we may consider someone with an LCQ who is willing to upskill to a receive a Bar Manager Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health and safety regulations and inventory management.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
  • Experience with POS systems, including troubleshooting and operation.

This is a hands-on role that requires you to be fully engaged in the daily operations of this amazing family-owned business and take ownership of your role.  Our clients busiest times are during summer, school holidays, weekends and public holidays, therefore these are the times you will be required to work with mid-week days off. This requires some flexibility and you will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional paid hours when required.
