Nestled in the heart of Waiheke Island, Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant is one of New Zealand's most iconic destinations, renowned for its stunning views, exceptional wines, and world-class cuisine. We pride ourselves on creating unforgettable experiences for both our local guests and international visitors.
We are looking for experienced and passionate Chef de Parties to join our talented kitchen team.
The Technical Bits:
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Level 2 National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or at least 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie or higher role
Responsibilities Include:
- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff
- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- preparing and cooking food
- explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- may select and train staff
- may freeze and preserve foods
Hours of Work:
- You must work a minimum of 30 hours per week, usually you will work 40+ hours per week.
- Rotating roster, business is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Weekend work is essential.
Relocation and Place of Work:
You will be required to work at 126 Church Bay Road, Waiheke Island.
Residing on Waiheke Island is essential for this position. We can assist with initial accommodation when relocating to Waiheke.
