This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Tourism Operations Manager to join the Man O’ War team at a pivotal time to help expand Man O’ War Tourism Experiences.
This role could suit an experienced tourism guide looking to step up into a management role or someone who has had a different career path but has strong management, business and/or marketing skills that is looking for a career change to tourism and the outdoors.

The Operations Manager is the key leadership role who will be responsible for all aspects of our Tourism Experience operations, including safety, customer service, sales, compliance, staff management, and plant and machinery.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. They will need to be able to demonstrate a strong background and work experience in management and leadership, preferably in tourism.
As a member of our broader management team/s your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Management – you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of our operating season and meeting sales/budget targets.
- Customer Service – you will maintain a high level of customer service and ensure staff are working to the company vision and values.
- Health and Safety – you will lead and promote all aspects of our Tourism Experiences health and safety management system.
- Regulatory Compliance – you will ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Staff Management – you will prioritise training and development for staff and role model exemplary teamwork.
- Plant and Machinery – you will ensure that all equipment is maintained at a high standard and meets all compliance requirements.
- Ecological Management - zip line and wetlands sites
Flexibility to work hour and days to meet operational and seasonal variations and demands. Generally, tours will be offered Thursday-Monday from 10:00 to 6:00pm.
Temporary Hostel accommodation is available on site.
